Lee Anna Obos, R. Ph. Instructor Department Basic and Pharmaceutical Sciences Email: leeanna.obos@acphs.edu Phone: (518) 694-7279 Fax: (518) 694-7202 Office: Room 017C Lee Anna Obos, RPh, is a graduate of the University of Illinois and the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is currently employed by the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences as Laboratory Coordinator in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Her responsibilities include developing, coordinating and teaching the Pharmacy Skills I and IV Laboratories. In 1999, working with the New York State Museum Lee Anna planned the renovations for a new museum and became the curator of the Throop when it reopened in 2001. Since then she has created displays of historic artifacts throughout the College, written grants, chaired the Throop Pharmacy Museum Scholarship Endowment Committee and hosted tours of the museum for groups ranging from a History of Medicine course at RPI to the Visiting Nurse Association. In addition, she has created exhibits on the Throop Museum and the History of Pharmacy for the Albany International Airport, the Ten Broeck Mansion and the Schenectady County Library. She has presented at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Annual Meetings on pharmacy history, pharmacy museums and web pages and documentation and preservation of pharmacy artifacts. Her articles on the Throop have been published in the Apothecary’s Cabinet as well as ACPHS’s own PostScript. Lee Anna has been recognized with a “Certificate of Commendation” from the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy for her dedicated service and contributions to the field of the history of pharmacy. In June 2006 she received the “The Outstanding Service to the Profession of Pharmacy Award”, which honors an ACPHS alumnus or alumna who has made an exceptional contribution to the profession. |
