Located prominently in the main foyer of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Science's O'Brien Building, the Throop Museum gives visitors a glimpse of Pharmacy in the past. The Throop Drug Store was established in 1800 and was run by the Throop family for the next 136 years. The historic Drug Store was acquired for ACPHS by the late Dean Mansfield in 1938 and has remained a source of pride ever since.

Far from being a static, dusty old museum, artifacts from the museum are routinely displayed at area historical events.
